Remote Telemetry Systems
The data is out in the field, and you need to bring it in to
your PC, workstation or webserver in real time. If so, you've
found the right site. Wherever data changes in the field - underwater,
in air or underground - even over a wide temperature range, Biotags
can provide complete wireless measurement solutions for field
and lab. Biotags manufactures a variety of Radio Frequency (RF)
data transmitters with onboard sensors, called Telemetry Tags,
and their companion Field Data Loggers. Working together, these
components capture sensor data on temperature, conductance, motion,
voltage levels and field position, and networks the data to your
lab or office computer system for analysis and verification.

Biotags
Telemetry Tags are tiny, environmentally safe,
low voltage RF data transmitters
that monitor external conditions and respond to their local
environment by transmitting digital data in a pulsed, error
correcting format. Meeting a wide range of user requirements
for battery lifetime and environmental stability, Biotags
Telemetry Tags transmit low power radio signals over a distance
of one mile while providing a minimum mass under 3 grams.
Low mass tags offer rechargeable batteries while long lifetimes
of years require just a single AA battery.

Biotags Field Data Loggers
provide a cost effective, low power solution for monitoring
Telemetry Tag Data, adding features for position tracking
and automated data logging. Biotags offers small and light
data logger versions for handheld monitoring as well as
sealed systems capable of long term unattended operation.
The low power requirements of Biotags Field Data Loggers
maximize active logging time when running from internal
or external batteries. When applied with Biotags high gain
Yagi antenna systems, these field data loggers track both
telemetry data and tag position.

Complete Remote
Telemetry Systems with BiotagsRTS

To capture the digitally encoded data from RF tags in the field,
Biotags users first apply the ICOM radio receiver included with
every BiotagsRTS package. With the ICOM receiver, you listen to
each tag's data chirps, a first step that pulls in the tags micropower
radio signal through the antenna and converts it to audio. Next,
select from a range of Biotags integrated electronics and software
packages to decode the digital data and log this data into categories
specifying each individual tag's custom ID, telemetry data and
field location. Depending on the features of your BiotagsRTS application,
the Biotags Field Data Loggers will analyze the information transmitted
by the tag, and display the tag's ID and sensor information on
a handheld PDA (Palm Tungsten T2 series). Finally, you transfer
the data from the PDA to you PC, workstation or webserver and
run analysis of the field data. For automated data collection,
Biotags can provide networking solutions that concentrate field
data from a number of remote locations, and transfers the data
directly to your desktop.
